Job Summary: Junior Attorney to handle a wide array of responsibilities related to development, production, financing and distribution of theatrical motion pictures for a high-volume boutique firm that represents preeminent independent production, finance and distribution companies.
Experience: Ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience in an agency, studio, or law firm, including in an administrative or coordinator capacity.
Law Degree/License Required. License to practice law in California is required.
Job Details: Draft, review and negotiate a large variety of agreements, including rights acquisition, talent agreements (actor, writer, director and producer), key below-the-line agreements, production services agreements, VFX vendors, composers, location and equipment agreements.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter with ability to juggle multiple, constantly changing, high-priority tasks
• Strong drafting, organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat and Internet research
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
