Post Production Company in Burbank is seeking an Inventory Specialist. This position is tasked with properly maintaining records for rental equipment. The inventory specialist creates records in Xytech to monitor the traffic of individual items coming off or going on rent to a client. The inventory specialist also participates in efforts to properly store equipment at all of our facilities. Lastly, this position can become client facing when called upon to participate in on-site work or deliveries of equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
-Contribute in a positive manner to a work environment built on communication, cooperation, accountability and respect.
-Provide an excellent customer service experience to our clients.
-Be a positive representative of the Integration team when interacting with other departments.
-Participate in creating digital records in Xytech that log the physical movements of assets into a facility, throughout a facility and out of the facility.
-Participate in creating digital records in Xytech that log the physical movements of client media into a facility, throughout a facility and out of the facility.
-When necessary, provide paperwork for field staff for deliveries and pick-ups.
-When necessary, provide paperwork receipts for individuals delivering or picking up equipment or media from the facility.
-Reconcile hand written paperwork or hand written notes from physical records to digital records in Xytech when necessary.
-Ensure all Physical and Digital Records are one hundred percent accurate.
-Organize efforts to execute requests for equipment searches both physical and digital upon request.
-Conduct Virtual Check Ins/Outs when requested to manage gear not returning or leaving the main facility.
-Conduct REMOTE CHECK IN when scheduled to do so.
-When required, properly shelve and store equipment.
-Provide staff with all necessary equipment needed to ensure all equipment is transported safely and securely throughout facilities and transportation.
-Participate in pulling and palletizing equipment for disposal, moves or re-sale efforts.
-Participate in scanning equipment for record keeping projects, when requested.
-Process Maintenance requests on damaged or malfunctioning equipment when it returns from a job to ensure timely.
-Participate in efforts to organize equipment stored on the Shop Floor, Warehouse or in Ad Hoc locations as needed.
-Participate in Zone Counts as scheduled (usually twice a year).
-Participate in efforts to adjust digital records in Xytech on a project or as needed basis.
-Enter NEW equipment into the System and assign it proper Group, Resource Type and Description, and attach the P.O. for later reference.
-Create Asset De-Activation Requests and submit them to finance when needed.
-Upon clearance, move assets from the active to inactive list in Xytech.
-Create Shipping Manifests and arrange for packages to be shipped via services like FEDEX or UPS.
-Sign and Collect packages and mail and distribute to the appropriate individuals within the company.
-Participate in field deliveries or system installations when required by the Scheduling Department.
-Other assignments upon request.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Knowledge of broadcast television equipment.
-Evening and weekend work as business demands
-Strong communication skills.
-Valid driver's license.
-Ability to deal with people inside and outside of the Company with the strictest confidentiality.
-Ability to always maintain a friendly, tactful, decisive, pleasant, positive and professional attitude especially under pressure.
-Have strong problem-solving skills.
-Self-starter and detail oriented.
-Strict confidentiality in dealing with people inside and outside of company.
-Self-motivated and directed.
-Common sense.
-Familiarity with MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel.
Preferred Skills:
-1 - 2 years of experience in inventory control and asset management.
-Familiarity with Xytech Enterprise Systems.
Physical Demands:
-Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, and operating office equipment.
-Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
-At times a work day can exceed the 8 hour minimum, employees must have the physical and mental endurance to work over-time.
