This position is responsible for overseeing promo scheduling and strategy on international linear, OTT, & VOD platforms. The International Scheduling Coordinator will work closely with the Programming and Tech Ops departments to modify portions of the domestic linear playlist for international broadcast. Additionally, the Coordinator will work closely with the VOD team to ensure delivery of all VOD assets to international partners. Overall, the Coordinator will serve as a key liaison for international partners.
Responsibilities:
Act as a key liaison for international programming with multiple departments: Tech Ops, Programming, Distribution, Affiliate Marketing, Creative, Digital/Online, Research, etc.
Develop and maintain relationships with outside parties, including Encompass Digital Media, international partners, listings providers, and scheduling software support teams.
Work closely with the Programming team to weigh in on programming initiatives and schedules.
Schedule multiple playlists of promo fill for all commercial breaks on an international feed.
Develop dynamic promotional strategies that mirror linear priorities while optimizing promotional resources and fulfilling affiliate agreements.
Work with the Programming and Traffic teams to request, track, approve, and schedule custom promos and interstitials for international channels.
Work with the VOD team to ensure creation and delivery of all VOD assets to international partners, including video files, metadata/XML, and key art.
Work closely with the Distribution and Affiliate Marketing teams to stay abreast of pending distribution deals, help with on-boarding for new partners, fulfill affiliate agreements, and brainstorm innovative opportunities.
Stay informed about the international/VOD/OTT competitive landscape and identify emerging trends and opportunities for growth and business development.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Strong technical skills
Master control operations experience preferred
2 - 3 years minimum experience in VOD or Linear Scheduling
Must have expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and other Office applications.
Experience in TV scheduling software and content management systems is a strong plus
Very strong organizational and decision-making skills, as well as an eye for detail
Must be a self-starter who can work independently but also can collaborate with others
Must be able to follow-up on projects through completion
Must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure, and hit deadlines
Must be able to communicative effectively with others, both inside and outside of the company, and cultivate and maintain healthy business relationships with partners
Must have a positive attitude and must be passionate about TV, music, and pop culture
