We are looking for rockstar Social Media interns to help promote pop culture and entertainment news content on the following platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram (including Instagram stories), Snapchat, Pinterest and Tumblr.
This is a part-time internship position for a major entertainment news site with 4 million combined social media followers. We recently redesigned our site face and need more hands on deck to keep social media active 24/7 and to get more clicks on blog posts and articles.
Social Media Interns will need to:
-Collaborate with other social media team members
-Communicate clearly with editors and site leadership
-Be pop culture and entertainment EXPERTS
-Know how to correctly tag handles, use hashtags, and utilize bit.ly links to create fun, engaging and informative posts
-Schedule ''evergreen'' content on Facebook and Twitter so that each hour of the day has at least 1 post
-EXCELLENT grammar and mechanics
-Follow specific directions but also take initiative to do what needs to be done without being hand held
We need 3-4 people who can follow instructions, are experts with social media platforms (and HootSuite scheduling), and know how to take news articles and pop culture stories and turn them into social posts that audiences will be excited to click on and interact with.
Our staff works virtually and you can be located anywhere in the US or Canada!
