Production and Development Intern
Location: Sherman Oaks, California
Area of Interest: Film Development/Production
Position Type: Paid Part-time Internship
Number of Openings: 1-2
Hours/Week: 18-22 hours (2-3 days a week)
Production & Development Intern's responsibilities include providing support to the pre-production stages of films projects. You will support extremely busy executives in a variety of tasks related to organization, communication, and the presentation of Film/TV projects. General duties include translating documents, writing reports, making PowerPoint presentations, conducting research, as well as other admin duties. This position requires English & Mandarin proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) as well as keen attention to details.
Job Responsibilities:
-Translation of documents (story treatments, PowerPoint pitches, reports, etc) between English & Chinese Mandarin.
-Make PowerPoint/Keynote presentations to pitch and present our Film/TV projects.
-Conduct research for the pre-production stage of film projects.
-Provide administrative support for the Production/Development department.
-Create and maintain status reports for film projects.
-Compose and prepare confidential memos, correspondences, updates, meeting notes, and other reports as requested.
-Engage in other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualification:
-1st to 4th year Undergraduate Student. Preferred Major: Film/TV, Communications, Media Studies | Other Humanities Major also welcomed to apply
-Bilingual, proficiency in English and Mandarin (verbal and written) is required.
-Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
-Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency with Keynote is a plus.
-Organized and detail oriented with the abilities to function in a demanding environment with competing and changing priorities.
-Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the abilities to interface with staffs, other administrators, internal and external customers, and senior management.
