Production/Talent Management company seeks a qualified and enthusiastic Intern candidate for a Photographer/Publicity Assistant to support the Management and Production Team. This is a part-time internship position. Candidate must be detail oriented and well organized. Great communication skills, writing, keen decision making and discretion are key. Ideal candidate should have an interest in learning about television, film, and personalities. Candidate must possess a highly efficient work-ethic, with an ability to be pro-active, and find opportunities for growth. Position is held with the aspiration to grow within the company, amount of work/projects and compensation will increase accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Passionate about photography, reading, writing, fashion, TV and Film
- Organizational skills
- Great personality and ethical behavior
- Maintain business calendar
Project Work
- Coordinate calendar and photography projects
- Handles press requests
- Assist with company events
- Contribute to special projects as assigned
Internal Relationships
- Interact with media relations management and staff
- Interact with management and producers' divisions
External Relationships
- Interact with Consumer Press, Trade Press and other media outlets, PR firms, studio PR counterparts
- Interact with in-house and outside talent, their publicists and representatives (Per project assignment)
Basic Qualifications
- Candidate should have basic knowledge of photography, writing, reading, foreign language a plus
- Proven organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to exercise appropriate judgment in executing tasks without supervision while being able to switch and interact as a Team player
- Ability to multi-task a variety of projects at any given time and manage deadlines independently
- Effective communication skills in both verbal and written form
- Team player attitude with the ability to interact with multiple levels of employees and clients within and outside the organization.
- Must possess enthusiasm, flexibility and creativity and be willing to assume challenges and increased responsibility.
- Ability to listen to and understand circumstances and context, and respond with appropriate solutions
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Communications, Journalism, Media Relations, Public Relations
