Finance Intern Description
A Los Angeles based television production company, is in search of a finance/accounting intern for the Spring Quarter/Semester, commencing around February 1st. Please review the following internship description and submit your resume if interested.
Reporting and Analysis
• Assisting finance team with quarterly and annual reporting to French parent company.
• Assisting Manager of Finance with other production-related analyses, such as:
o 3rd party net profit participation.
o Guild residuals.
o Revenue and expense budgeting and forecasts.
• Creating financial, operational and management presentations as needed.
Accounting
• Facilitating Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes with Director of Finance:
o Creating payment requests.
o Obtaining proper internal authorizations.
o Tracking receipts on comprehensive domestic/international distribution schedule.
• Assisting Director of Finance with bookkeeping on Quickbooks Online.
• Managing employee expense reports and reimbursement process.
• Assisting finance team with external audits from guilds, networks, accounting firms, etc.
Finance
• Assisting finance team with maintenance of corporate revolving line of credit.
• Assisting finance team with obtaining production loans for TV shows.
Requirements
Applicant must:
• Be a senior in college studying Finance and/or Accounting.
• Have a desire to work in Finance and/or Accounting in the entertainment industry (doesn't secretly want to be a writer/director/producer/actor)
• Be able to learn quickly.
• Be able to work thoroughly and independently, and be able to check their own work.
• Be able to learn from their mistakes!
