Intern for electronic music events promoter
We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive, creatively minded, house and techno aficionado who is knowledgeable and passionate about the nightlife, festival and events scene, both locally and internationally.
This three month internship is ideal for someone who wants to learn more about the electronic music industry, it's events and how to successfully publicize and promote them across all platforms, be it digital, press, print and distribution.
Intern Requirements:
• LA or surrounding area based
• Strong writing skills
• Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or Media associated education preferred
• In depth knowledge of social media and its trends
• Ability to adhere to deadlines and work efficiently under pressure
• Basic digital design / Photoshop knowledge preferred
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good social skills
• Ability and willingness to be flexible with working hours
• A living and breathing love of house, techno, disco and all in-between
Responsibilities will include:
• Working on Press/PR campaigns
• Building and nurturing relationships with press and blogs
• Working on digital marketing and promotion campaigns
• Collating content
• Helping to set up and ensure events run as planned
• Assisting in advancing of shows and completing itineraries
Interns must commit for the minimum of at least 3 months (or the term of their internship program with their university).
By the end of your internship experience, you will have a broad understanding of the challenges and roles that producing events in electronic music entails.
This is an unpaid internship that can be used for college credits.
