Development intern for established feature film director. Tasks range from clerical duties to hands-on development work (coverage, drafting treatments, pitches, contributing to feature length screenplays) and exposure to film/commercial sets. Looking for aspiring writers/directors.
This internship will provide many opportunities to be a part of each stage of the filmmaking process, from pre-production (participating in creative sessions, creating and editing pitch materials and visual treatments) to production (PA opportunities on commercial sets) to post-production (helping edit director's cuts, sitting in with director at editing sessions).
Interns will be working side-by-side with director and his director of development, who manages director's slate of film and TV projects.
Interviews week of 12/12. Starts early January. Please do not apply unless you can begin then.
Basic Photoshop & editing (any program) skills a must. Must have laptop and car. You will work from home some days, come into office other days in Santa Monica and you may have to go to Malibu once in a while. 2/3 days a week. Unpaid with paid PA opportunities. College credit available.
