JOB DESCRIPTION
- A forward thinking IT Business Partner to the company at both a macro and micro level. Able to understand where the company is at present and future. Set up the correct IT policies, procedures and infrastructure to support best practices and security.
- Problem solving abilities and ability to meet reasonable deadlines.
- Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously.
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic operations. Keep management updated on progress and planning.
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
- Preserve and track all assets and ensure cost effectiveness.
- Manage preventive maintenance for the network to ensure high availability of all managed systems.
- Manage vendors.
- Have a STRONG opinion regarding the needs of the business as a whole, as well as individual department technology needs based on type and volume of work.
- Understand industry's best practice processes.
- Organized, detail orientated and self-motivated.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS in computer Science, MIS or similar field
- 5+ years proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of Technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and participate in long term roadmap planning
- Experience with vendor management and contract review & negotiation
- Willingness and passion for learning new things
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build productive working relationships with other teams
