Experience:
At least six months experience in a Human Resources setting. Experience in a clerical, secretarial or administrative position. Preferably one or more years of administrative experience in an environment which involves human resource management, strategic planning, organizational development or dealing with all levels of an organization. Employee must have demonstrated proficiency in handling matters of highly confidential nature; shown high degree of initiative and ability to assume a high degree of responsibility; exercise sound and independent judgment; ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals and groups; ability to work independently with limited supervision; ability to plan, implement and manage short and long term projects; and, demonstrated experience working within a corporate office environment.
Other Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills; ability to interface appropriately with all levels of management. Computer literate and comfortable with Microsoft Office applications and the internet. Specific proficiency in Word and Excel is required.
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing all administrative and recruiting support for the Recruiting Department. The right candidate will have the ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment, have exceptional organizational and follow through skills, great communication skills and an eye for detail. This is a recruiting role with the opportunity to continue to grow within the company. We are looking for someone responsible, accountable, with a great personality that is proactive and can be a self-starter when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Placing employment ads with colleges, job boards and other sources.
2. Screen phone calls from potential job candidates, screens resumes, forwards resumes to hiring managers.
3. Coordinates the interviewing and hiring (onboarding) process and paperwork.
4. Oversees applicant tracking via ADP/Cornerstone Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
5. Meets with hiring managers when needed to go over job descriptions.
6. Maintains proper filing of personnel files, job description data bases and forms library.
7. Performs new hire orientation and processing new hire paperwork.
8. Responsible for coordinating programs and morale building activities for office.
9. Performs special projects and assignments.
10. Manage the internship program
11. Other duties as assigned.
