Prominent and fast-growing film and television production company is looking for a Head of Marketing, Publicity and Social. This position takes personal responsibility for the promotion of our diverse current projects across features, television, and SVOD, creatively builds the strength of our brand identity, and develops new business opportunities in the digital and social media spaces. The position manages initiatives from idea to implementation whether working independently or directly with studio, network, and agency partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive buzz and awareness for our projects
- Execute integrated marketing plans for features, documentaries, and series (both scripted and unscripted) from execution through premiere and post-mortem.
- Execute innovative yet cost-effective media, marketing, and publicity strategies to promote our projects
- Collaborate with and manage studio, network, agency, and internal stakeholders to execute advertising and promotional materials as well as unique social media content
- Collaborate with those stakeholders to seek out, develop, and implement cohesive marketing and publicity strategies that meet overall campaign goals for key launches
- Monitor and analyze key marketing metrics and campaign performance
- Identify opportunities in the digital and social media spaces to build overall brand awareness and project-specific opportunities including those for additional revenue.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years of relevant marketing or publicity and team management experience with a major brand and/or agency, consumer marketing, marketing communications and/or digital/high-technology consumer companies/products
• Experience with either the publicity, creative development, or media planning process
• An understanding of marketing principles, publicity, and communication tactics including various forms of digital/social, out-of-home, grassroots, TV/radio, and alternative marketing
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party agencies
• Positive can-do attitude with strong initiative and follow through
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a lean work environment
• Bachelor's degree is required in business, marketing or related fields.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA Preferred
• Relevant marketing or publicity experience within entertainment properties
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside job scope
