Local Production Company seeks a qualified full charge accountant to handle the daily operations, budget tracking and reconciliations, preparation of applicable tax documents, monthly and yearly closing procedures. Ideal candidate will provide the production department detailed financial activity reports as needed. Candidate will handle all aspects of accounts receivable, payables, banking account reconciliations, payroll tracking and reporting. Candidate will need to maintain separate budgets and tracking for each production project from inception till project completed.
Ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance from an accredited college/university as well as minimum of 2 years work experience in a related field.
• A understanding of ASC 926 and related financial reporting preferred.
• Candidate should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and QuickBooks.
• The ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced environment. Good interpersonal skills including the ability to work with and interpret the demands of the artists, staff, vendors, and clients in a professional and confident matter.
• Be self-motivated and highly organized with strong management skills and a drive to meet or exceed assigned department objectives.
• Strong analytical and financial skills are a requirement.
• Candidate will handle all other duties as assigned.
