Feature Editor Internship
This is an exciting internship opportunity for a great candidate interested in post production. We are looking to recruit fun energetic, unique story teller enthusiast that works well under presser and can meet deadlines. The editor will work hand in hand with the director to create the vision and understanding of basic story telling is required.
Job Duties
One feature film all backed up and ready for a re-edit and a pilot ready for the first edit.
Must be able to do the following:
• Understanding action/drama genres
• Can read/write script ans basic coverage
• Take initiative in the film and do what's necessary and best for the projects.
• Quality control, ensuring edits are up to par with industry standards
Skills Required
AVID/Premiere Pro/After Effects background preferred. Possess a general knowledge of the distinction between video file formats and extensions such as VOB, H264, mp4, AVI, etc. A strong candidate for editing must have keen vision, hearing and emotional sensibilities. Must be knowledgeable and savvy with similar genre in film.
Qualifications & Experience
The Editor needs to be technically savvy mostly utilizing computerized equipment and advanced video editing software in his/her work. Besides this technical acumen, the ideal editor also must have enough experience and passion in features. Editors must have a strong sense of the message the director intended to deliver.
• 2 - 5+ yrs. experience with editing software such as Final Cut 7, AVID, Adobe Premier Pro & After Effects
• Entry Level Position to Mid Level Position
• Color grading/correction experience ideal but not required
• VFX/CGI experience ideal but not required
