Executive in Charge, Production & Operations- Independent Unscripted Television Production Company
Unscripted Television Production Company seeking a highly skilled Production Executive (EIC) to oversee our documentary and unscripted programs while in production. EIC will manage the entire workflow of pre-production, production and postproduction teams; provide oversight of all day-to-day production needs, during post, through to delivery. Reports to President and VP, this leadership role will be the primary point-of-contact representing the company to the internal staff, project employees and external clients/networks.
Responsibilities:
•Oversee all aspects of production on a full slate of shows
•Liaise with network executives on company produced projects
•Responsible for hiring creative and production personnel on shows
•Partner with show-runners to ensure resources are used to their fullest capacity on all shows
•Supervise the delivery of all elements in accordance with network guidelines
•Budget, schedule and hire staff on projects
•Collaborate with finance department to ensure proper cash flow, funding and cost reporting across all projects
•Manage staff on all projects
•Create budgets (EP Budgeting), schedules and production plans for presentations, pilots and series and manage slate of current and upcoming projects to network delivery
•Collaborate with legal to negotiate contracts and manage labor relations on each project
•Manage teams of production personnel for all projects
•Work closely with creative teams to ensure needs are met
•Act as liaison between company, production teams, and respective networks
•Negotiate graphics agreements on projects and manage delivery of all required assets
•Demonstrated experience in docu-series, documentary and unscripted content production
Desired Skills and Experience & Requirements:
•Position requires a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience as a EIC/Line Producer of physical production
•Broad knowledge of field production and post-production is essential
•Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate in a responsive, accurate manner are a must
•Outgoing demeanor, accustomed to interacting with people at all levels of the organization
•Role must be able to provide leadership and clear direction, as well as guidance and mentoring to the junior members of the production staff
•Network production management experience is a plus. Third party production experience is a requirement.
