Search for Executive Assistant to CFO & Controller jobs in Santa Monica-CA
Exciting opportunity for a self-starter to grow with an established Santa Monica-based, self-financed independent film production company.
Responsibilities of the position will include:
• Support the CFO and Controller in finance and accounting related functions.
• Provide administrative support - incl. answering phones, coordinating conference calls/meetings/travel, updating calendar/contacts, etc.
• Organize and maintain departmental/project binders, permanent files and filing systems.
• Track incoming/outgoing documentation, requests, and financial reporting on multiple film projects.
• Coordinate approval/signature/payment of invoices/contracts and follow-up on other time sensitive issues/requests.
• Assist with accounting-related duties and special projects, including coding of invoices/expenses & entry into accounting system, bank reconciliations, and other weekly/monthly accounting/finance reporting.
• Gather financial data/research supporting film ultimates and project analysis; compile related presentations and materials.
• Maintain/update research databases pertaining to various entertainment performance trend information and other finance-related initiatives.
• Perform other data research projects and presentations, as assigned.
• Assist with tracking of in-coming participations statements and preparation/distribution of out-going reports.
• Gather information to assist in preparation of budgets and related analysis.
Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar degree strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years or more of related experience, incl. relevant internships.
• Prior finance and/or contracts administration experience highly desirable.
• Candidates must be detail-oriented and possess strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Should be extremely organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and proactive in anticipating needs of the department and its executives.
• Technology literate with extensive MS Office knowledge, excellent Excel skills/aptitude particularly desirable. Good with presenting and organizing information.
• Internet savvy - able to do extensive research and present findings clearly and concisely.
• Professional maturity and presentation, able to handle sensitive or confidential tasks and information.
• Will also be responsible for leading/supervising projects independently.
