Reports to: Controller and CFO
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic start-up like video production company as an entry-level accountant. Reporting to the Controller, the entry-level accountant is primarily accountable for ensuring that all daily transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
• Proper and timely recording/reconciliation of transactions in the general ledger and supporting or subsidiary ledgers
• Preparation of client invoices on a timely basis and collection of client accounts receivable as quickly as possible
• Prepare, schedule and remit accounts payable in a timely manner
• Proper recording and reconciliation of transactions
• Assist the Controller in cash management and forecasting cash requirements and resources
• Complete the daily credit card accounting and bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently
• Assist with the completion of profit & loss statements for all engagements, ventures, affiliates and jobs

• College Degree preferred, minimum of a BA in accounting or finance; CPA, CMA and/or MBA a plus, or at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Filemaker Actualize-It and Quickbooks highly desirable
• Ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions
• Ability to multi-task is essential
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, are a must as are solid listening skills and cultural sensitivity
• The ability to learn quickly and operate in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment is critical
