JOB DESCRIPTION:
Looking for experienced editors for a branded content series with strong documentary-like narrative skills.
Must be able to work onsite, close to downtown Los Angeles in production company's offices during office hours with some potential weekend hours.
We're specifically looking for editors who have worked on story driven projects and strong independent skills for piloting branded video series, who are story conscious and can work independently as predators, while producer and production team will be travel across the globe during production.
Selected candidate would start immediately.
Timeframe for pilot / 1st episode would be through mid-June then break for second leg of shooting.
Remaining episodes in series, would start again in mid-July until potentially early September for any continuing hires past pilot/1st episode.
Must be experienced in Adobe Premiere CC 2015 workflow and have experience with broadcast editing standards.
While position is for post production editorial, must have experience integrating motion graphics from motion graphics team.
Ideal candidate would have strong graphic and motion graphic design skill set too.
Must have previous broadcast experience. Must have experience with production music library systems services like APM, Firstcom, and/or Extreme Music.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Multimedia or Communications fields or Film and Television Production or similar.
- Minimum 4 years experience with multimedia production for web delivery, and broadcast standards for file delivery.
- Previous Experience Editing for Digital Branded Video Editorial with emphasis on story-based documentary-like content.
- Ability edit short form content (2 to 10min) for the leading digital distribution platforms for digital media.
- Strong communication skills. Attention to detail. Creative Problem Solving.
- Experience editing on Premiere CC 2015 NLE and ability to work with broadcast standards.
- Previous Assistant Editor Experience on Broadcast and Web Based Video Content
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
- Adobe Premiere CC
- Adobe After Effects CC
- Adobe Photoshop CC
- Windows OS, Macintosh OS Flexibility (Mac OS X as Primary OS)
- Experience Working with Shared Storage Environments (XSAN)
- QuickTime MultiMedia Standards Including Various Modern Codecs, DataRate, Wrapper, Etc.
- MSOffice (Word / Microsoft Excel / OpenOffice/Neo Office)
DUTIES:
- Editing Pilot with Attention to Tone/Story for Branded Content.
- Working with Producing Team & Post Team to Meet Deadline and Story Points.
- Ability to Edit Short Form Entertainment for Web
- Adobe Premiere Bin Management and Project Setup
- Ability to work along side producers on quick turnaround projects as well as independently during piloting phase on story and piloting.
- Broadcast File-Base Specification Standards
EXTRA POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH:
- Online Editorial Experience for Broadcast
- Graphic and still design for logos and graphics packages for larger broadcast spec shows a plus
- Experience designing from client and producer specification, motion graphics based graphic kits, and web programming.
