Search for Director of E-Commerce for Celebrity Fashion Line jobs in Los Angeles-CA
The Director of E-Commerce will be responsible for leading the development of an E-Commerce business for a celebrity client with multiple successful brand categories. They will provide overall project management direction to develop functional specifications, and project milestones with the goal of increasing sales and visibility. The candidate will be responsible for leading site development including business processes, marketing programs, promotions, product launches, content, usability and overall design. This position will lead an E-Commerce team in developing, analyzing, reviewing, recommending and implementing strategic and tactical changes to internet, social media & future mobile properties to drive business profitability by increasing visitors, improving conversion rates, and managing sales & margins for the E-Commerce business. They will be responsible for delivering a ''look and feel'' to the brands and customer experience that create emotional connections with the brands' customers. Above all, managing customer service and satisfaction to the highest degree of excellence is a must.
The successful candidate will have an exceptional product/trend sensibility, with a passion for women's fashion. Qualified candidates should possess the ability to: Direct the development, maintenance and execution of a multiple brand category business strategy, oversee all marketing/promotions dealing with the online store at hand, effectively communicate with multiple manufacturers of brand categories and implement necessary internal and external system updated.
Core responsibilities will include:
• Development of a business plan, system and marketing requirements, RFP and system selection & system implementation
• Set up of necessary operational processes (e.g. photography, creation and management of digital assets, fulfillment, payment, shipping, etc.) in conjunction with Creative Director/Designer, CIO and COO.
• Ensure business objectives are met through the delivery of focused programs across the multi-channel platform, which reinforce brand positioning, and drive on-line sales & profit.
• Develop and implement strategies to build the number of subscribers to each of the Company's brands' email list and the number of visits, pages viewed and time spent on our website
• Drive web merchandising, web content, and web design to optimize sessions and conversions by landing visitors on relevant and highly converting pages
• Apply a clear understanding of the brand, trends, and the customer to the product selection, merchandising, and business strategies
• Identify and execute new on-line marketing initiatives including web only merchandising events, daily deals, blogs, email blasts, social networking and loyalty programs to drive on-line sales.
• Assist with the ideation, creation and execution of program & product launches and promotional calendar planning with the internal E-Commerce team and merchandising & marketing functions.
• Lead the creative development request/brief for on-line marketing programs with design and content teams, ensuring that all web-based marketing promotions are successfully launched across all channels and are consistent with and support the brand position/image.
• Create and maintain appropriate and timely analytics for all E-Commerce, on-line and mobile activity (display, email, social, search, etc.)
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 4-7+ years' experience in an E-Commerce role with budget and/or P&L responsibility
• Must know the concept of online marketing algorithms and understand warehousing and fulfillment
• Prefer working in a highly entrepreneurial environment where being hands on is critical to the day to day running of the business
• Proven experience with multi-channel website and marketing efforts
• Knowledge of and experience with Magenta or Demandware is plus
• Ability and prior experience engaging and growing consumer interest via social media
• Advanced knowledge of E-Commerce backend systems and operations as well as working knowledge of web platforms, technologies and development life cycle as well as strong technical knowledge and experience using marketing automation tools
• Solid strategy development and analytical skills, sound business judgment and the ability to provide direction to senior management
• Superb communication skills, including strong oral and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels
• Excellent management and project management skills, with the ability to delegate and manage multiple priorities while generating positive relationships
• Be extremely customer- and brand-focused
• Knowledge of coding is a plus
