Director of Production Management
A mid sized TV Production Company based in NYC and specializing in scripted and unscripted programing is seeking a Director of Production Management. The Director will work closely the programming, finance, and post production groups to support the production, delivery, and cost reporting of all projects. They will report to the Head of Production.
This position skews towards the financial / operational side of production where a solid affinity for numbers and a strong foundation in budgeting and cost reporting will serve the successful candidate well. And, extra points if you secretly derive a sense of satisfaction from creating or improving operational processes and procedures.

• You have 5+ years production management experience in either a network or production company environment with a knowledge and expertise in episodic television.
• You don't drop the ball (i.e. if you commit to doing something by a certain time, it always gets delivered by that time. If you realize this isn't possible, you then pass the ball or ask for help, rather than drop it).
• One day you might want to be an EIC, the Head of Production, or even the COO at a content production company.
What the Job is-
* Work closely with programming and production personnel to ensure projects are on track financially while liaising closely with the company's accounting team on series cost tracking and projections.
* Manage freelance Line Producers to ensure project cost reporting is accurate.
* Oversee budget and cost reporting for all projects in post production.
* Manage project set up including oversight of the following-
* Procurement of required insurance policies
* Title searches
*Uploading / tracking network deliverables
* Staff and crew hires during early prep
* Prepare project budgets, calendars, and cash flow schedules
* Manage team of internal PMs and PCs.
* Track production expenditures for tax refunds and manage relationships with relevant municipal authorities.
* Work with network production management executives on delivery of all projects per network specifications and ensure funding milestones are communicated internally in a timely manner.
* Review and update cost reports on a bi-weekly basis.
* nEnsure productions are working to industry best practice and output is industry compliant and in accordance with Company policy.
* Communicate Company policy to all Line Producers and ensure that all production personnel adhere to production accounting policies.
* Support and refine workflow processes across the organization including delivery to networks, communication of relevant information, data and media archiving, and managing and controlling costs on production and development budgets.
