Job Title: Director, Finance

Key Functions:
1. Prepare monthly label reporting including but not limited to:
- Artist and Label Profit & Loss statements
- Travel & Entertainment reporting by label
- Create Income Statement and Balance Sheet analysis reports
- AFM Special Payment Fund & Musician Fund reports semi-annually
2. Prepare monthly journal entries & update revenue/expense schedules as necessary
- Deferred Income
- Prepaid Expenses
- Income Allocation
- Overhead Allocation
- Mechanical & Artist Royalty Accruals
3. Company contact for Concur Expense Reporting
- Weekly extracts of expense reports from Concur
- Prepare & upload journal entries weekly from Concur extract file into accounting software
- Setup of new employees & training of staff (if needed)
- Pull reports monthly to successfully prepare staff T&E reports for COO, SVP of Finance & Controller
4. Ensure all accounts payables are processed on a daily basis verifying and approving proper codings and accompanying documentation for each transaction
5. Ensure all accounts receivables and employee bill backs are invoiced on a monthly basis verifying and approving all invoices and sales orders prior to invoices being distributed
6. Attach backup for manual checks issued prior to delivery to CEO/COO for signatures
7. Process writer payroll
8. Assist Controller with monthly closing
9. Assist with artist and mechanical royalty statement processing by providing required financial reports
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
Experience:
- NetSuite Accounting Software & Concur Solutions Expense Reporting required
- 5-7 years of similar accounting related and/or record label experience required
- Knowledge or prior experience of working in a major record label preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access)
Skills and Abilities:
- Extreme attention to detail
- Strong customer service and team building skills required
- Ability to work under pressure and within hard deadlines
- Ability to work after normal business hours
