Production Company is looking for a dynamic and creative Director of Development who will be responsible for the development of scripted and unscripted content from conception and development to production. Specifically this position will:
• Developing new scripted and unscripted series. This would include meeting with and taking pitches from key and potential talent and producers to discuss projects.
• Maintain high degree of knowledge of current events and trends and network needs.
• Supervise internal ideation of concepts and formats.
• Supervising production of sizzles and presentations; reviews and approves outlines, rough cuts, budgets and post-production.
• Streamlining and disseminating information amongst production, scheduling, marketing, PR and other internal partners.
• Representing the company at industry or professional groups, meetings and events.
• Managing a team of developers, as well as outside producers.
You must have…
• The willingness to embody our culture of being collaborative, a self-starter, competitive, passionate, bold, distinctive, innovative, creative and able to have fun!
• Extensive network of contacts- including network executives, agents, managers, PR, talent, writers, directors, producers, production crew, etc.
• Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills

• The ability to work well with others and collaborate across the organization to achieve goals
Education Qualifications:
Required Minimum: BA/BS Degree
Experience Qualifications:
Required Minimum: The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6-10 years' experience developing content having worked in the digital space and/or linear space at a network or a production company.
