A Day in the Life:
It's not a matter of agencies duking it out over the same handful of ''it'' clients - you'll think of the whole world as a pool of opportunity.
You'll research the heck out of them. What are they up to? Where do they face challenges? Are they launching anything soon? We're filled with ideas for their brands...how do we get in front of them? We need you to lead initial thoughts into opportunity.
As the Director of Development & Client Services with eclipse, you'll be utilizing your relationships knowledge and know-how; joining a team of rock-stars in driving revenue through strategic business development and sales, marketing, and partnerships - while positioning the company as a thought leader in the advertising space.
On the daily, your expertise in business development, strategy, and client management will come into play as you leverage relationships to create and pursue new business opportunities.
Your focus will be brand clients and the digital space (within our integrated entertainment based advertising agency)
Core Accountabilities:
Build and maintain relationships with key contacts to generate, develop and pursue leads and close sales across multiple skill sets from big idea-fueled campaigns through social, digital, visual ID and more.
Manage targeting efforts and sales strategy to drive revenue while implementing strategic and tactical methods to identify and close new business - Includes building new and leveraging existing relationships to create and pursue selling opportunities and influence decision makers
Work with our internal team to create effective pitches and presentation materials in order to qualify and win business with new client companies across our suite of advertising services.
Identify key industry marketing partners and engage them; attend and represent the company at networking events and external meetings
Research and interpret industry trends and competitive information to develop strategies and tactics to appeal to new and existing clients
Ensure that the client database is kept up to date and prospective clients are followed up with on regular basis
Actively seek opportunities for Eclipse to participate in RFPs
The Qualifiers:
5+ years of proven business development experience in the advertising/content/marketing space managing complex clients and significant dollar transactions
Deep knowledge and interest in the advertising across all media, including social, digital, content marketing, partnership and influencer marketing as well as 'traditional' channels''
Expert at generating new contacts, building and maintaining relationships; ability to develop and secure relationships with buyers, decision makers, influencers and other referral sources across a variety of industries
Strong written and verbal communication skills; including proposal development, ability to deliver convincing presentation and pitches
Proven consistent track record of delivering $1 million+ revenue per annum
An interest and understanding of the creative process
Entrepreneurial DNA and drive
Collaborative and team oriented
