We are currently seeking to fill the position of Associate Creative Director at our boutique based entertainment production based in Los Angeles that commissions, produces and acquires films and television series in both traditional and emerging formats. KTTCP has development content for Netflix, Freeform, Sony and A&E. We are slowly building our company identity in ground breaking material and have been praised by critics for staying committed to real story telling. We strive to give each story a life outside an individual screening. Around all content, created under our umbrella, our goal is to reach, attract, and engage the audience deeply while entertaining. We are looking for the perfect, fearless voice that unites with the KTTCP brand, voice and work.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Provide coverage and additional support as needed for review in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide active participation and contribute in development meetings - including all brainstorming sessions.
• Track projects through studio system. Be familiar with industry movements and track daily business news.
• Draft correspondences/proof read documents.
• Assist in developing original concepts, literary properties, formats, features, television, specials, documentaries, talent, etc. Across all platforms.
• Must be familiar with the creative development process and the production process as a whole.
• Proven success managing and providing support to high level executive(s).
• Possess professional-level verbal and written English communication skills as well as interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Drive meeting preparation, and schedule/coordinate internal meetings, conferences and teleconferences.
• Ability to prioritize work, demonstrated problem-solving ability, and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume, creative environment with minimum direction under tight deadlines.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the executive team and outside clients and associates.
• Display good judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality. You will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement prior to employment.
• Strong background in creative analysis.
• Knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat/Reader and Project software applications. In addition, must be adept at utilizing technology to improve work flow.
• Ensures creative is executed on time and on budget.
• Delivers breakthrough creative in all mediums and backs it up with a strong, solid rationale and point of view
• Takes initiative to pitch ideas and concepts
• Related experience, clear creative talent, judgment and imagination for the creation of all mediums.
• Digital experience working in interactive and social media.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in creative analysis of original production, original development and submission materials, including initiating review by Head of Development.
• Manage and maintain a high level of written and verbal communication with CEO and major film studios, production houses, agents, talent, etc.
• Manage correspondence and enhance department effectiveness by providing information, answering questions and requests and providing management support.
• Organize office operations and procedures including, copying, printing, compiling documents, creating binders, creating and distributing agendas/itineraries, ordering supplies, maintaining organization and filing system, etc.
• Ensure efficient and effective phone coverage and have the ability to screen incoming calls and correspondence and respond independently when possible.
• Manage internal material distribution within the department and company for original productions, original development and external submissions.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned.
• Develops concepts, pitch decks and/or storyboards, collaborating in all Development of new/current content.
• Presents concepts and revises concepts/storyboards according to feedback.
• Participates in weekly departmental staff meetings.
• Keeps CEO apprised of the status of work.

• Look after the creative needs of original KTTCP series and films.
• Create all necessary materials for each development idea, including, but not limited to, research, project briefs, decks, budgets and bids.
• Attend pitches of prospective projects and, where applicable, review material to have informed and productive meetings
• Evaluate source material, concept, and character development of projects in development
• Assist in setting meetings with potential creators, partners, networks or funders for developed concepts.
• Provide support on both business matters (i.e. deals with key parties) and production matters (i.e. staffing showrunners, directors, field producers, and editors).
• Stay on top of trends and technical advances of new technologies.
• Build and manage relationships with talent and key partners (i.e. creators, directors,
producers, production companies, artist representatives, and creative community)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated understanding of KTTCP brand, voice and work.
• Bachelors degree preferred but, not required
• 1-2 years at a production company or network with previous Development and/or Current Programming experience.
• Proven ability to craft powerful stories and proven creative instincts selecting, developing, producing, and/or greenlighting projects.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and outside parties.
• Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Interest in VR and new technology formats for storytelling.
• Ability to work in our Los Angeles, CA office and travel as needed.
• Extensive knowledge of the television and media industry.
• Experience working with either a producer or a buyer/commissioner (network) in both development and production is ideal.
• Actual producing experience is a plus but not required.
