Search for Dance Studio Marketing and Operations Manager jobs in Los Angeles-CA
The ideal candidate is responsible for the day to day running of the studio with his/her team that he/she manages. The bulk of the responsibility will be coming up with the market strategy for the studio. This can include the development of a social media marketing plan or coming up with new programs to increase the attendance at the dance studio.
Characteristics of our dream manager:
• Enjoys jumping in to unexplored territory to address challenging problems and develop new and improved systems
• Is an agile and creative problem solver
• Invests their time in quality work
• Works well with the Director and can implement company strategy
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Assist Director of studio in driving new students to the studio.
-Coordinating class schedule and maintaining classes to start and finish on time
-Working with community to promote the different dance programs offered at the studio
-Manage studio rental program
-Update and increase social media presence
-Assist with daily and monthly reconciliation of booking software to payment software, troubleshooting errors and issues with bookings and payments
-Serve as Work/Study Coordinator -
-Update and generate new materials (handbooks & training guides)
Administrative Responsibilities
-Oversee office supply orders, inventory and budget
-Manage mail and telephones
-Communicate with vendors (Xerox, vending, etc)
-Analyze supply usage to determine cost savings
-Maintain organizational memberships
Qualifications:
• Passion for arts
• Experience being in the commercial dance world
• Experience and interest in working with volunteers, artists, and the public
• Proficiency with Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, MS Office
• Strong and concise communication skills, both oral and written
• Well organized with great attention to detail
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to act with diplomacy and patience under pressure
• Punctual, reliable and dedicated and familiarity with an office environment
• Two+ years of customer service and administrative experience required
• Available 5 days per week, including Saturdays
Compensation
• Salary commensurate with experience
• Free dance classes and subsidized studio rental rates at the Dance Center
