CREATIVE COORDINATOR
This is a job opening for a Creative Coordinator position at a Los Angeles based production company, active in the world of commercials and music videos. It's an opportunity for someone with strong technical, creative, and communication skills, to work and train alongside many of the best industry professionals. If you're fueled by a love of cinema, photography and graphic design, this is the job for you!
JOB DUTIES
Designing director's treatments and pitch packages. This includes graphic layout, making Photoshop comps, designing web based layouts, and overall familiarity with typography.
Experience with digital archiving and data management.
Visual research - culling reference imagery from films, photography and other visual media. A wide-ranging knowledge and love of films, commercials, TV shows, photography, and popular culture is a must.
Providing editorial assistance during the treatment writing process; often involving proofreading or polishing text and pitching ideas. Candidates should have strong grammar and writing skills (both technical and creative).
Strong communication and project management skills. Ability to assign and delegate work to freelancers, interns and internal creative team. Communicating with and updating the team on treatment progress, including the EPs and Directors.
Coordinating - pairing Directors with freelance writers and researchers when need be. Overseeing and maintaining the creative process when external help is hired.
Ability to prioritize - managing several duties at once and assuring that the most important projects are continually moving forward. Ability to switch between tasks and projects at a moments notice.
Administrative work. Taking care of invoices, filling out Purchase orders, maintaining records, etc.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficient with Adobe suite including, but not limited to: InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, Bridge and Muse.
Working with internal servers and data management software.
Understand hard drives and digital best practices.
Has an overall knowledge of Keynote for Mac
Strong knowledge of apple operating systems
Graphic design
Video editing
SOFT SKILLS
Meticulous about details, large and small
Thorough, completes tasks and follows up without being prompted
Scrappy, resourceful and relentless in trying to find solutions
Able to troubleshoot problems but also knows when to ask for help
A sound thinker who can maturely approach challenges and obstacles
Prepared to commit to working long hours and weekends
Able to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities under deadlines and pressure
A proactive and positive thinker and a contributor to the team
Creative and has the ability to think innovatively
Able to function effectively as a part of a team
Concise and direct written and verbal communication skills
Outgoing and positive attitude.
