Search for Coordinator / Contract Administrator jobs in Los Angeles-CA
Searching for an experienced coordinator/contract administrator to support a small fast paced entertainment law firm focusing on motion picture production. Potential candidates must have at least 18 months previous experience with an entertainment law firm or motion picture division/company handling the below:
• Below-the-line production agreements (e.g. location agreements, rental agreements, prop agreements, staging areas, releases, clearances, etc.)
• Below-the-line crew agreements (e.g. heads of department and other crew members)
• Guild signatory applications (SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA, IATSE, etc.)
• Credits (paid ad memos, main title memo)
• Filing registration of various documents with Copyright Office.
• Preparing status reports on projects during all stages of completion.
OTHER SKILLS:
• Capacity to handle a heavy workload and meet deadlines.
• Punctuality and ability to work overtime as necessary.
• High level of self-motivation and a strong work-ethic.
• Must have the capability of listening and learning while on the job.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision but also take directives from other staff as required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Must have strong computers skills in MS Office (including Word and Excel), Apple Mail, working knowledge of Dropbox. Working knowledge of Apple computers.
• Must perform general doing general office duties as required by the position (e.g. maintain physical files, answering phones, etc.).
• Must be able to maintain client confidentiality.
• Must be dog friendly.
This is NOT an entry level (no JDs will be considered). Ideal candidate will understand the process of making a movie from production-legal stand point and are familiar with the parties involved on the ground in doing so (individuals with experience as a production coordinator will be considered but this position requires heavy word processing). An ideal candidate would be someone with production and legal experience that is tired of traveling from movie to movie.
