Emmy award-winning production company is seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented and highly motivated candidate to assist the in-house counsel. This is an entry-level position and unique opportunity for someone wishing to learn about feature film, scripted and alternative television deal-making.
Responsibilities Include:
- Directly support the SVP of Business & Legal Affairs
- Drafting agreements & participating in negotiations
- Tracking deal progress for development and POD deals
- Breaking down contracts to disperse information as necessary to production and accounting
- Maintaining key information for department internal systems including, but not limited to, payment schedule obligations, reporting for guilds, etc.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year institution, Paralegal certification a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and professional demeanor
• Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner
• Knowledge of Filmtrack & familiarity with entertainment industry a plus
