Business Management/Accountant -
The business account manager must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment, be highly motivated, organized, detail oriented and work efficiently and independently with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Successful candidate must be committed to carrying out the firm's quality policy.
Essential Functions
Business Management
1. Responsible for preparing start paperwork.
2. Monitor contract agreements to assure that the client is being paid as agreed.
3. Assist clients with all aspects of their financial matters including obtaining insurance, registering cars, preparation of loan applications, etc.
4. Work with other members of client's team such as their agents, bankers, investment advisors, lawyers, managers and publicists.
Financial Management and Accounting
1. Responsible for paying client's bills on a timely basis and depositing of client's project fees.
2. Recording payables and receivables in QuickBooks.
3. Ensure appropriate internal controls and financial procedures, such as the review of month-end closing activities and bank reconciliations, are being adhered to.
4. Prepare, maintain and present regular financial planning and analysis reports, ie. Monthly profit and loss, cash flows, budget vs. actual.
5. Preparation of industry reports such as SAG-AFTRA annual income and health reports.
6. Play a key role in planning to include maintenance of adequate balances in bank accounts and budgeting.
Required Knowledge Skills and Experience
1. Business acumen.
2. Highly proficient on QuickBooks and Microsoft Office including Excel.
3. Financial management.
4. Strategic thinker.
5. BA/BS Degree in Accounting.
6. 4+ years relevant experience.
7. Strong organization and planning skills.
8. Excellent communication skills; verbal, listening and written.
9. Must have an excellent command of the English language.
