The New York office of a major talent agency is looking for a qualified candidate to provide administrative/contract assistance for the Business Affairs team in support of our Literary Department. Experience in an in-house corporate legal department or transactional (as opposed to litigation) law firm is a plus, as is entertainment industry experience.
Responsibilities:
-Heavy contract administration
-Organization and tracking of incoming/outgoing material -Maintain contract and logs -Frequent communication with publishers, buyers, and clients -Routing, copying, scanning and indexing documents -Maintaining extensive deal files -Manage and schedule calls and calendar
Qualifications:
-Detail oriented
-Highly organized
-Accountability
-Self-starter
-Reliable, punctual, and dependable
-Professional phone demeanor
-Immediately available
-Interest in Entertainment Law a plus
Computer Skills: Fluent with Microsoft Word, working knowledge of Excel, and work comfortably with databases
