NYC-area Reality TV Production Company seeks full-time Business Affairs Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the head of business affairs, in-house counsel, and directors of casting and development, in cooperation with an experienced team of casting and production staff.
Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Calling and emailing potential talent, to explain agreements and guide through the signing process
- Liaising with attorneys, agents, and other talent representation
- Fielding redlines and facilitating appropriate contract revisions
- Tracking distribution, revisions and execution of agreements and related legal documents
- Actively maintaining a large volume of files and correspondence
- Being a point of contact for talent, while also filtering inquiries to executives/counsel
- Providing general support to business affairs, as directed
Skills and/or Qualifications:
- Should interact well with others, be a clear communicator (written and verbal), and have a confident phone presence
- Be well organized, highly detail oriented, and adept at maintaining/tracking Google Docs and Excel spreadsheets
- Must show professional discretion with confidential information
- Ability to take direction and willingness to learn
- Experience or education in related field (e.g. casting, production, talent relations, clearance) preferred, but not required
*Candidate should be local to NYC and prepared to make a 2-year commitment to the position.
