Experienced Bookkeeper needed for an established production and domestic sales company to work full time in the Mid-Wilshire area. Candidate must be professional and able to manage confidential financial and payroll information without conflict. Candidate must be willing to pitch in wherever needed at all times. A more than basic understanding of production accounting is required.
College degree required! Minimum of 3 years prior bookkeeping experience required - references will be checked. Experience in entertainment and production accounting is strongly preferred. Must have strong knowledge of all facets of QuickBooks Pro and be MAC proficient. Reports directly to the Co-Ceo / Owner of the company. No training will be provided and QB/Accounting knowledge will be tested.
Job Responsibilities:
• Duties will cover Incorporated Parent Company, its subsidiary companies, and numerous production entities established for individual film productions
• General office manger duties including maintaining the company's insurance policy and other miscellaneous vendor accounts
• Responsible for scanning and archiving all financial documents / receipts.
• Update and keep track of all financial records in QuickBooks
• Records assets, leases and expenditures
• Analyzes and corrects current-period errors in the general ledger
• Handles payroll for office of 7 people
• Tracking Account Receivables
Computer Skills:
- MUST be proficient with QuickBooks
- Efficient in MS excel and word
- Knowledge of Mac operating systems i
This position is an integral part of our operation and there is a great deal of interaction with our creative staff. The ability to work under minimal supervision and take charge with a disciplined sense of self-management is imperative in the right candidate.
