Search for Bilingual Publicist with Technology Expertise jobs in Los Angeles-CA
We're looking for an experienced publicist and strategist with a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience with consumer and technology clients. This position is responsible for providing support to the publicity team, specifically the consumer practice of the agency which clients include those in the space of technology, cable, streaming services, education and government.
We're a full-service boutique and consumer-marketing consultancy with offices located in Los Angeles and New York. We're dedicated to multicultural marketing with special focus on the U.S. Hispanic market. Our expertise spans media and community relations, publicity, events, grassroots/experiential marketing, online/social media, sponsorship development and activation, and crisis communications.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
-Pitching, research, coverage, submitting breaks
-Developing PR plans and supporting with strategy sessions
-Creatively coming up with groundbreaking story ideas that can attract editors and bookers
-Putting together press materials including press releases, pitches, bios, briefing books, etc.
-Staying aware of existing and changing media contacts
-Serving as the day-to-day client contact
-Creating monthly client and internal reports
-Working and attending client events
-Handling various client accounts
-Moderating media interviews
-Assisting with media training for clients
-Seeking out new media contacts and fostering relationships with journalists
Requirements:
-Bilingual; Fluent in both Spanish and English
-Knowledge of the US Hispanic market; including current trends
-Excellent writing, research and organization skills (must have experience writing press releases)
-Strong relationship with Hispanic and general market journalists in the top ten markets, specifically those that would cover the following beats: government, technology, cable, business, and education
-Has experience managing several accounts and dealing directly with clients
-Self-starter, able to work independently
-Takes imitative and is proactive
-Strong ability to prioritize, solve problems, work under pressure, and be resourceful
- Can handle fast-paced PR environment
-Strong attention to detail
-Creative and a team player
