A Media Production Company located in Burbank, California is looking for Avid / Pro Tools Engineer.
Must be AVID certified and thoroughly knowledgeable of Avid Nitris DX version 5, Unity 5 for offline and online applications and Avid Symphony for online and color applications. Must be proficient in avid, machine room and deck connectivity. Full knowledge of HDCAMSR, Digibeta, DVCPROHD decks and formats. Must be able to operate and navigate all deck settings and menus. Must be knowledgeable of vector scopes and monitors.
Must also be proficient with Pro Tools and all its inner workings and connectivity to decks. Must be familiar with audio laybacks and audio specs as required by network deliverables. Familiar with creating BWAV files and restoring pro tolls files. Proficient at laying back audio to above mentioned tape formats. Familiar with Dolby decoders and Dolby E Encoding.
Knowledge of IT is also required. Proficient at uploading and downloading materials to FTP locations and hooking VO booths up with ISDN lines or making sure that an ISDN connection is routed to a pro tools system in order to be recorded.
Knowledge of machine room switchers, routers, sync generators and patch bays also a necessity. |
