Job Title: Audio Implementer
Job Description: We're seeking an experienced, highly motivated Audio Implementer to help create a range of virtual reality games/experiences. The Audio Implementer will work closely with the Audio team, Artists, Designers, and Engineers on daily basis. The Audio Implementer will play a role in defining audio asset implementation strategy for every content category. The Audio Implementer must be able to document and rollout scalable plans to implement audio content. And throughout the production phase, assess the status of the implementation efforts and adjust them accordingly.
Responsibilities:
Planning
-Work with the Audio Director and other audio team members, tools team, designers, artists, and other leads from various disciplines to architect the audio content implementation pipeline, including the ways to improve/automate the current one.
-Document and rollout audio implementation plans and best-practices. Work with Audio Producer to schedule and scope the overall project. Work with Audio Developer to establish an audio resource management strategy.
-Coordinate with test team for test pass schedules. Define the test pass requirements and schedule to drive more focused and meaningful test pass efforts.
Execution
-Establish and supervise implementation efforts for all audio asset categories.
-Quantify and report on the overall implementation status. Identify and manage risks/blockages with the Audio Manager.
-Work with the test team to be the point of contact for bug fixes. As needed, modify the implementation plans and best-practices to minimize the down time and bug count.
Requirements
-Must have at least 4 years of audio production experiences in video game industry.
-Excellent knowledge of audio implementation middleware tools, such as Wwise and FMOD. As well as scripting languages such as LUA and Kismet. Must be experienced working with Tech Art and/or Tools teams to specify technical requirements to improve speed and stability of implementation efforts.
-Must be experienced with implementing in Unreal.
-Portfolio or reel of past work accompanied by a word doc to explain and highlight notable moments or assets. Must be able to translate the creative directions and goals into tangible technical specs. Must possess the ability to easily transform intangible ideas into specific plans.
Pluses
-Past work experiences and passion for AAA games and experiential media.
-Deep knowledge of game audio mixing and sound editing.
-Experience and passion for virtual reality and 3D sound design
