Search for Asst. to the Director of Marketing jobs in Urbana-IL
The position would encompass a number of different aspects and areas within the business, including marketing, media-buying, social media assistance, promotions creation & implementation, office management, talent buying, event development, day-of-show event coordination & representation and any other tasks assigned by the Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding and background in marketing and/or event management and development, as well as strong communication skills.
** Ideal Candidate will be:
- Marketing/advertising/PR background and/or degree
- Willing to take on new challenges, think outside the box and put in additional time to get the job done. Creativity is always a plus.
- Self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic
- Experience in the live music, entertainment and events field a plus.
** Responsibilities **
- Assist in marketing and media-buying for events and concerts in multiple genres and markets
- Assist in managing and executing social media presence and on-line entities
- Managing, facilitating and monitoring grassroots marketing teams in multiple markets
- Working with a team to develop new ideas for on-line and traditional media promotions to help sell tickets for events
- Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional media outlets and potential sponsors
- Handle day-of show operations for concerts and events, from load-in to settlement to load-out
- Assist in developing new events, while maintaining and growing current annual shows and events
- Assist in developing and coordinating all aspects of events, from production to vending operations to volunteers
- General office and paperwork responsibilities
- This position will require night and weekend hours during peak times of the year, above and beyond the normal hours in the office during the week
