Entertainment Law Firm with a focus on representation of producers, financiers, production companies and distributors seeks Associate Attorney to start in mid May. Candidate must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Priority given to candidates with experience in development & production legal matters on scripted series content.
Duties will include:
• Draft and negotiate above and below-the-line agreements for film and television projects.
• Coordinate on multiple productions with producers regarding day-to-day legal services being performed by the firm.
• Assist clients in drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of various production legal matters.
• Review and negotiate vendor agreements, guild matters, finance/loan agreements, writer agreements, and literary option purchase agreements.
Requirements:
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Member of the California State Bar.
• Applicant must have a minimum three years (post law school, ) experience at an entertainment law firm, network, or digital media platform (i.e.Netflix, Amazon Studios, Hulu, Youtube/Google)
Details:
• Salary to be based upon experience.
• Health Insurance eligibility after one month of employment. Eligible to participate in firm profit sharing program after one year.
• Located adjacent to Century City.
