Beverly Hills Entertainment Law Firm seeks associate attorney for position opening December 2015. Applicants MUST have minimum two years' (post law school) experience at an entertainment law firm, distribution company, foreign sales agency or production company.
Candidate must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Duties will include:
• Draft and negotiate above and below-the-line agreements for film and television projects.
• Coordinate on multiple productions with producers regarding day-to-day legal services being performed by the firm.
• Assist clients in resolving clearance, music licensing and guild (SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA) related issues.
• Assist partners in closing bank loans and finance agreements.
• Review and negotiate writer agreements, literary option purchase agreements, sales agent
agreements, and distribution agreements.
• Interface with partners, associates and producers to keep them apprised of the status of open negotiations.
Requirements:
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• Active Member of the California State Bar
• Minimum two years' experience as set forth above.
• Candidates with production legal experience in feature films and television will be given priority. Experience in dealing with guilds (SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA) also helpful.
This is a full-time position, salary to be based upon experience. We are looking for applicants seeking to grow with the firm.
