Teen and 20's Magazine is looking for an ambitious Junior Assistant to work in our Los Angeles offices directly with the Editor in Chief. The candidate needs to be a self-starter with a high level of ambition and motivation, who has knowledge of the teen celebrity industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research and keep up with all current events (red carpet events, junkets) and RSVP for our POPSTAR team to attend. Manage all areas of coordinating our staff to attend these events.
• Constantly researching talent ideas for who could be included in our digital and print. Reaching out to those talents and setting up interviews.
• Writing questions for interview and conducting phone interviews
• Writing stories for print and digital
Proof-reading stories
• Assistance with any creative ideas for print or magazine and coming up with story ideas
• Answering POPSTAR phone line
• Pulling photos from Getty for stories
• Assist with any other tasks and support that are required by our social media and marketing teams
Qualifications and Experience
• The candidate would preferable have work experience with a teen magazine. We would consider a candidate who has not worked in the field as long as they have a very high level of knowledge of the industry.
• Must be social media savvy and plugged into the world of entertainment, style, beauty and teen culture
