Audio Visual Rental Company currently seeking a Full Time Audio Visual Assistant Director. The Assistant Director should feel comfortable working within the hotel, entertainment, and events industry.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Assistant Directors responsibilities include: scheduling technicians, staging equipment, leading off-site setups, QCing and overseeing technicians, property and vendor relationships, creating price quotes, and assisting with sales.
Labor Management: Direct day-to-day floor operations of technicians, including set and strike (ie. audio, visual, lighting, rigging, etc.), scheduling, delegating tasks appropriately, participating in employee appraisals, and leading by example.
Customer Service: Provide superior customer service by establishing excellent working relationships with clients, team members, properties, and all vendors.
Training: Effectively utilize all company computer systems and software programs and ensure technician members are properly trained.
Events: Provide preparation and follow-up on sales quotes, and have the experience and the ability to operate Projectors, Screens, Plasma/ TVS, Sound Systems, Audio Equipment, Event Lighting, and Special Events including; truss setups, red carpet, step & repeat, and more.
Requirements:
High school graduate -- college preferred; knowledge of the live event industry
Demonstrate knowledge of audiovisual equipment and computer software systems
Must have a Drivers License with a clean record
Ability to work evenings and weekends
Ability to lift 40 lbs. or more based on average equipment weight
Flexible, committed, and reliable
Ability to work well under pressure
Minimum of High School graduate/GED, AA/BS preferred.
Minimum of 2 or more years of audiovisual technical experience, including some previous supervisory experience.
