Asset Database Manager Skills
In addition to excellent customer service skills, the candidate must be highly organized with an authentic, positive, team-focused attitude.
The manager must have advanced knowledge of both Excel and Filemaker, and understand the general editorial workflow including use of time-codes, video codecs and frame rates when working with film assets. The manager will be responsible for logging shot dailies and mastered content, including creating metadata covering locations, shot speeds, camera codecs, descriptions, and keywords and understand how those words will be used in a searchable database. Organization is key and you will be expected to troubleshoot existing systems, as well as develop your own innovative, efficient logging workflows.
The manager will be responsible for the assets and information that live in both our internal database, as well as our stock footage licensing website. Manager is responsible for learning/managing a client vendor to complete this business to business licensing process. The manager will also occasionally need to track older elements (e.g. digi-beta tapes, 35mm film rolls) and manage the digitization/transfer process with outside vendors.
This candidate will work closely with both the creative production and post-production teams, and must have an easy going attitude that can handle high stress deadlines.
Customer Care Skills
In their role as our primary customer service representative, the manager must have patience, a never-ending positive attitude when fulfilling online orders to keep both our personal and professional customers satisfied.
Beyond personal customers purchasing our ecommerce products, the manager will also handle stock footage licensing requests and supply license agreements and pricing to customers. The manager will also manage partnerships with related stock footage companies that represent our content, ensuring they have the needed assets, metadata, and tracking royalties generated.
