A top Los Angeles ballet school and theatre is seeking an exceptional, resourceful and highly organized Artistic Administrator who will report to the Artistic Director, and assist the Managing Director. The successful candidate will be a motivated team player, a self-starter but someone who can also take direction. A key skill-set is the ability to juggle duties while keeping an eye on priorities, and achieve results. Preferred candidates will have exceptional managerial and people skills. Knowledge of theatre production is a plus.
Qualifications:
College undergraduate degree required
Professional, educated, cultured and well spoken
Previous office experience is necessary - 2-5 years
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to oversee and manage other staff
Strong customer service and diplomacy skills
Outstanding time management/ project management
Ability to work to deadline and multi task
Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Must commit to a long term position and be able to start immediately
Ability to 'manage up' to assist Directors
Comfortable in the environment of an arts organization
Self motivated individual capable of identifying tasks that need to be accomplished
Must be willing and able to pitch in to perform light physical labor as needed
Responsibilities:
Oversee and handle inquiries from the public
Assist with school enrollment via internal systems
Handle all computer tech issues
Prepare schedules and logistics for studio and theatrical performances
Plan and manage yearly calendar
Schedule private lessons, reconcile teacher availability, parent requests, studio availability and billing
Assist to coordinate class and teacher schedules
Oversee merchandise sales and inventory
Ability to produce/manage small 'showcase' and 'in-studio' performances
Negotiate agreements
Oversee and manage large parent volunteer staff
Overseeing tuition, billing and collection
Conflict resolution with staff and public
General project management
Salary commensurate with experience. Must be able to start right away.
