Search for Administrative Legal Assistant jobs in Westwood-CA
Entertainment law firm seeking a full time Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to a busy attorney. Must have outstanding organizational and oral/written communication skills. Sharp attention to details and excellent computer skills required.
Typical duties include:
• Answering and fielding heavy phone calls, including scheduling conference calls
• Setting meetings and generally maintaining attorney's calendar
• Creating and maintaining a follow up system for current and ongoing projects
• Interfacing with talent, studio executives and agents/managers to support attorneys with completion of ongoing projects
• Handling and processing all incoming mail
• Electronic filing and organizing of e-mails, correspondence and agreements through DMS - Filesite/iManage file system
• Draft transmittal letters and emails to outside counsel/studio executives and talent
• Preparing attorney expense reports
• Reading agreements to discern relevant compensation information for accounting purposes
Prefer that candidate has a working knowledge of entertainment industry workflow and standard assistant procedures; as such, some experience working as an assistant at a transactional entertainment law firm, agency, or studio legal/business affairs department helpful.
BA/BS degree required. Please no JD or Paralegals.
Must have excellent references.
M-F 9:00 - 6:00. Full benefits and a great working environment.
