Full Time Job
Major talent agency with offices in Los Angeles and New York is seeking a manager to join our business affairs department. In this role, candidates will learn how a talent agency works from the inside, as well as how actors are paid for various types of work (feature films, television, commercials, voice-overs). This is an mid-level role with great opportunity for advancement and growth.
Responsibilities include:
-- Processing talent payments for clients
-- Preparing daily financial and bank deposits
--Interacting with clients and producers
--Solving payment issues and problems, including collections for accounts in default
--Clarifying complex contractual language for clients using simple terms
--Tracking and processing back-end talent compensation
--Provide high-level support to CFO, as needed
--Working on various other projects that aid the overall operations of the Agency
Must be able to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the CFO.
Qualifications:
College degree required. BS in Accounting or Finance a plus but not mandatory, or
2 years relevant experience. Experience with accounting/business affairs for an entertainment company (studio, agency, union, etc.) preferred.
Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Outlook and 10 key
