Accounting Assistant- Talent Agency
This position requires a highly skilled individual with some prior Industry related experience who is capable of adapting to current accounting procedures as well as learning on the job. Must have excellent phone and communication skills, a personable and focused individual who has the ability to work well with others in a fast paced office.
Excellent computer skills needed - a strong multi-tasker who is detail oriented and has great follow through.
Job duties/requirements: Please note that this is a list of the Accounting Dept duties in general - not all duties assigned to every position are included, nor is it expected that all positions will be assigned every duty.
* Process - booking reports, change memos, client information etc in accounting system
* Process client payment, ECRS, invoices, journal vouchers, employee reimbursements
* Prepares account deposit ticket, and deposits money as directed, researches incoming wires.
* Files transaction records for future reference
* Compares records, recognize discrepancies and processing errors and corrections
* Answers accounting related questions such as payment history, participants' checks
* Enters, updates, and/or retrieves accounting data from accounting systems as needed
* Posts financial data to appropriate accounts in an accounting system, according to instructions
* Maintains client information, financial records and prepare reports
* Assists with general ledger account reconciliations, bank account reconciliations, and general accounting
Performs related work as assigned.
• Qualifications:
The Ideal Candidate Will Have Knowledge of: bookkeeping practices sufficient to record debits and credits; basic accounting
and financial principles
• Intermediate level Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and outlook.
• The ability to follow written directions such as established accounting procedures
• Uses a calculator and computer and learn applicable accounting software
• Attention to details and good communication skills
• Prioritizes and completes work by established deadlines
• Must be a team player; multi-task ability and work well under pressure
• The ability to change priorities as business changes occur
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-works, clients and the public
