Marketing Assistant/Accounting Assistant (Mandarin bilingual)
Description:
Chinese-based Film Distribution/Development Company with an office in Downtown LA seeking a full-time Marketing Assistant/Accounting Assistant. This is a hybrid position with equal attention given to assisting the marketing team as well as basic accounting functions.
Candidate Must Be fluent in Mandarin, both speaking & writing and able to work legally in the US.
The position requires someone to assist with various tasks within specified deadlines. The ability to work independently, take initiative, good follow-through, clarity in writing, strong organizational skills & use of social media are essential.
Job Functions:
• Ability to communicate with parent company in China.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and how to use them?effectively (Weibo, WeChat, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, etc)
• Knowledge of news from Chinese entertainment industry
• Ability to contribute to creative marketing campaigns?and presentations
• Can prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision?
• Conduct research, compile and analyze data, and create reports as requested
• Create a comparison report (seeking appropriate titles to compare our upcoming releases) for Chinese language films, comparing to other movies with similar genre, target, actors, directors, etc.
• Aid in organization of distribution and marketing campaign, budgets, overviews, etc. for each film
• Perform general accounting tasks including closing, maintaining records and files
• Compile other ad hoc financial reports such as long-range forecasts, quarter and annual budgets, and financial reporting package
Requirements:
• Strong Microsoft Office skills?(Excel & Powerpoint are crucial)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with Quickbooks a plus
• Have basic accounting knowledge (i.e., debits and credits, balance sheet accounts, income statement accounts)
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with different personalities
• Must be able to work both independently and within a team
• A strong love and desire to learn the ins and outs of the film and entertainment industry?
• Excellent social and communication skills
• Manages time wisely and be punctual.
Experience:
• 1-2 years of marketing and/or accounting experience
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Marketing/Public Relations/Communications or related field
Salary:
• Salary based on experience
