Major talent agency with offices in Los Angeles & New York is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our accounting department in the LA office. In this role, candidates will learn how a talent agency works from the inside, as well as how actors are paid for various types of work (films/TV, commercials, voice-over, digital, literary).
This is an entry-level role with great opportunity for advancement and growth within the accounting department.
--Screening calls for four-person department
--Handling administrative duties (rolling calls, calendar, greeting guests, etc) for CFO
-- Processing talent payments for clients
-- Preparing mailings and bank deposits
--Interacting with clients and producers
--Filing contracts, in coordination with the agency's Contracts Administration
--Working on various projects that aid in the overall operations of the agency
Must be able to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.
Experience with accounting/business affairs for an entertainment company (studio, agency, union, production company, etc.) strongly preferred but not mandatory.
AA or BA in Accounting or Finance (a plus but not required)
Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Outlook and 10 key
Comfortable screening calls
Multi-tasking & prioritizing urgent issues effectively
Discretion is essential
This is a FULL TIME position to start immediately. Local LA-area candidates only.
$10.50-$15/hour, based on experience - Medical/dental coverage after 60 days - 401k eligible after 60 days
