The ideal candidate will be very hard-working, highly organized, resourceful, detail-oriented, and analytical with a professional appearance and excellent interpersonal, phone and email etiquette. The ideal candidate should be very familiar with the key accounting concepts and able to multi-task. We are looking for someone with a very positive attitude.
Job responsibilities include:
- Invoice all customers and track, reconcile and collect on all accounts receivable
- Recognize revenue to title and post to general ledger
- Manage the royalty revenue collection process including: invoicing, cash collection, revenue recognition, accruals and posting to the general ledger
- Review bad debt monthly and recommend allowances for bad debt
- Ensure that all future receivables are recorded at present value and post any necessary entries to the general ledger
- Generate P&L sheets, cash flow reports, balance sheets and projection reports with the CEO.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Intermediate to expert skills using accounting systems (ex. Quickbooks), Excel, Word
• Good knowledge of key accounting concepts such as revenue, cash, expenses, asset and liabilities
• Previous studio revenue accounting experience
• BA in business/accounting
• Very strong analytical and problem solving skills required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
OTHER ABILITIES
• Very strong planning, organizational, time management skills required; must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong collaborative skills are necessary
• Demonstrated flexibility, information sharing, and anticipating needs is essential
• Must have strong competency in working with new technologies and systems
• Excellent ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and management required
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be a team player
• Must be able to work overtime, as needed
• Must be a confident individual who is a quick learner and self-starter
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines
