Full Time Job
Our client, a major entertainment attraction and tourism destination, is looking for a Technical Manager to join its Rides & Attractions team! In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day strategic and operational plans for the Rides & Attractions department: you'll provide technical guidance and support to ensure that ride systems meet their specification, design, production, installation, and acceptance testing guidelines, and coordinate technician follow up as required to ensure a quality product which meets or exceeds safety standards is delivered to guests. You'll also liaise with appropriate third parties involved with show and ride systems, including HR and Labor Relations, and create and implement action plans to ensure future department success.
You should have:
- a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- a minimum five to seven years of day-to-day operations experience in a themed entertainment environment
- a minimum three to five years or operations management experience [experience managing in an Union environment highly preferred]
- a high level proficiency in Microsoft Office
- excellent organizational, collaborative and communicative skills
- availability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed
