Attraction Designer Relocation OK!
A worldwide entertainment company is looking for an Attraction Designer to join its team! Working with the Show Producer, Creative Director, and lead designer, you'll use your creative, innovative and organizational skills to create multiple technical and creative approaches and solutions to meet critical design criteria, including but not limited to guest experience, hourly ride capacity, show timing, and vehicle spacing, while adhering to local building codes. You'll bring creative intent to life in models, scale drawings, artwork and design packages depicting the creative intent of a project, along with various show and facility elements of an attraction, while developing and maintaining a cohesive design in all elements associated with the project through various phases of development.
You'll be responsible for the development and implementation of presentations and presentation artwork outlining creative intent to obtain internal and external approvals, and serve as the liaison for internal and external partners, licensors, and intellectual property developers.
You should have:
- a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Design, Theatre, Graphics, or Computer Technology
- a minimum 5 years experience in design for themed entertainment, theme parks or related industries
- experience participating in the earliest phases of a project, including brainstorming, storyboarding, creating POVs, rendering, and designing plans, sections, and elevations
- strong technical ability with various design/technique tools including, but not limited to illustration, 3D modeling, architectural design, set/scenic design/drafting, AutoCAD, and Adobe Graphics
- strong communication and collaborative skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
